Since October 7th, 2023, Benji's family, friends, and acquaintances have gathered at various events to commemorate him and tell his story of heroism.
Benji's Birthday

The last day of the Shiva fell on Benji's 33rd birthday.
As he would have liked, his friends organized a party with beer taps and refreshments, and many people came to pay Benji respects on his birthday and drink to his memory.
The evening of the funeral

Many people came on the evening of the funeral outside the house of Sharon, Benji's sister, and lit memorial candles in the street.
Amutah Pulsar 7 , Carmel Hills

A reunion hike in the format of a half-day trip to the Carmel Hills in memory of Major Benji Benjamin Trakeniski who fought valiantly and fell on October 7th.
Tichon Hadash Run

The Run was in memory of three fallen soldiers from the Tichon Hadash School who had fallen over 15 years in different military episodes. Organized by the staff and students of the 12th grade the Run was held in Herzliya Park and was supported by friends, families, students and the Mayor of Herzliya.
Tichon Hadash Run and meeting classes

A preparatory meeting before the run in his memory and in memory of the other high school fallen, with the 12th grade and staff at the high school where Benji attended. At the meeting we shared the story of Benji's heroism and heard the stories of the other fallen.

Heroes Training - CrossFit

Benji's friends organized a hero training event at the CrossFit gym where Benji trained, and on the wall at the entrance hangs a large picture of Benji with some words in his memory.
The Bnei Herzliya basketball team dedicated the game to Benji

Bnei Herzliya dedicated today's game to Benji and honored the parents with a ceremony.

Benji's scout troop went on a cooking operation for displaced soldiers and families in Benji's memory.

A ceremony in Benji's memory at the Gordon School in Herzliya, the elementary school where Benji studied.

The Beret Campaign was dedicated to Benji's memory.
A dance dedicated to Benji at an event in Miami

A dance dedicated to Benji at an event in Miami by Joan Marchewski, a good friend of Benji's from high school.
The dance depicts life before and after October 7th, and tells of the love of Benji and Rotem, his fiancée.
Tree planting, Hadassim, Netanya

A tree was planted in Neve Hadassah youth village in memory of Benji.
Herzliya Run

The Herzliya run in memory of the fallen citizens of the city.
Every kilometer in the run was dedicated to the memory of one of the fallen, with a large sign on the side of the road, with a picture, name and a characteristic sentence.
The families of the fallen took part in the run, and in the ceremonies awarding finalists their medals.
Refashim, honored Benji by dedicating a room in his memory

The Herzliya Scouts, Refashim, honored Benji by dedicating a room in his memory.
At the ceremony, two other fallen soldiers, Ori Jerbee and Gad Eisencot were similarly honored. The Scouts instilled and honed leadership skills, a love of Israel and team work, all of which Benji excelled.
